USDA Invests in Domestic Fertilizer Production

Secretary Vilsack announces grants totaling $83 million to independent U.S. business owners.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced an $83 million investment in domestic fertilizer production in May, advancing the administration’s goal of boosting domestic manufacturing in America. Independent businesses in 12 states were selected to receive this funding, which supports the expansion of their facilities, increases their retail range, and allows them to purchase essential production equipment.

“The Biden-Harris Administration and USDA are committed to bolstering the economy and increasing competition for our nation’s farmers, ranchers, and small business owners,” USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack said. “The investments announced today, made possible through the Commodity Credit Corporation, will increase domestic fertilizer production and strengthen our supply chain, all while creating good-paying jobs that will benefit everyone.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Vilsack to seek God’s guidance as he oversees the USDA.
  • For U.S. agricultural officials to be discerning as they facilitate the investment in domestic fertilizer production.
